Day 1 - Catania / Taormina
Upon your arrival at the airport in Catania, you’ll be greeted warmly and escorted to Taormina, Sicily’s most famous resort - a favorite of 19th century English aristocrats. Settle-in to the hotel of your choice, the superior first class Hotel Monte Tauro or the deluxe San Domenico Palace, and enjoy the balance of you day at leisure.

Day 2 - Excursion to Viagrande and Explore Taormina
This morning, your private car and driver will bring you to Viagrande. At the charming Cucina del Sole (The Kitchen of the Sun), our local expert will teach you all about Sicilian gastronomy and conduct a hands-on cooking class. After lunch, return to Taormina for a private walking tour with your guide. Stroll the cobblestone streets and learn the fascinating history of the town. A highpoint of your tour is a visit to Taormina’s famous Greco-Roman Amphitheater, one of Sicily’s largest and wonderfully preserved. From this splendid hilltop site, you’ll have breathtaking views of Sicily’s lovely coastline and the sparkling Ionian Sea. Meals B,L

Day 3 - Excursion to Mt. Etna
After breakfast, your private car, driver and guide await to take you on a wonderful excursion into the countryside of Etna. You’ll ascend the slopes of the fabled volcano to dine at one of our favorite restaurants. A delightful lunch of regional fare is accompanied by tastings of the local Etna Rosso and Bianco wines. Day 4 - Day at Leisure in Taormina
Enjoy your free day here in this charming and popular resort. Your hotel’s central location makes it easy and convenient to shop and explore at your own pace. For those who prefer an organized excursion, a sightseeing tour to Siracusa is available. Founded in 734 BC by Greeks arriving from Corinth, this handsome city was one of the great ancient capitals of Western civilization. Meals B

Day 5 - Taormina / Catania
