Day 2 - Explore Munich and travel to Salzburg #WHS#, Austria
This morning’s walking tour showcases the city’s grand architecture including the Royal Residence and Marienplatz, one of the loveliest squares in Europe. Sit down to lunch in one of your guide’s favorite city restaurants and then travel to Salzburg. The city’s Baroque splendor will surely captivate you as you explore the City of Mozart on a walking tour. Day 3 - Into the Lake District
Once the playground of Habsburg royalty, Salzburg’s enchanting Lake District is one of Austria’s most scenic regions and promises an unforgettable day, highlighted by a cruise from the picturesque village of St. Gilgen across Lake Wolfgang. Return to Salzburg through an ever-shifting landscape of mountains and lakes and enjoy the balance of your afternoon at leisure. Meals B

Day 4 - From Salzburg into Slovenia
A scenic drive southward transports you through the magnificent Julian Alps to beautiful Lake Bled, set at the foot of these rugged peaks. Ascend Mt. Vogel by cable car for lunch and stupendous views over Lake Bohinj cradled in the mountains. Later, set out across Lake Bled in a traditional wooden pletna to visit St. Mary’s Church to ring the “Wishing Bell” before retiring to your lakeview room in the deluxe Grand Hotel Toplice. Day 5 - Excursion to Ljubljana
With a history steeped in the ancient legend of Jason and the Golden Fleece, Slovenia’s captivating capital is filled with striking architectural monuments, handsome town squares and lovely baroque fountains. But this university city, with its youthful population, is also abuzz with cutting-edge exuberance and we’ve designed this excursion to immerse you in its exciting diversity. Admire Robba Fountain, visit the baroque cathedral and join city residents in the central market. You’ll also visit the amazing Postojna Caves and Lipica Stud Farm. Dine tonight at Bled Castle, which has stood for centuries high atop a cliff overlooking Lake Bled and St. Mary’s Church. Meals B,D

Day 6 - The scenic road from Bled to Zagreb
Ascend by funicular to Ljubljana Castle for captaviting views over the city. Continue to Zagreb, stopping en route for lunch on your own in a charming riverside castle hotel. Upon arrival in the Croatian capital, enjoy a guided sightseeing tour before checking in to the 5-star Regent Esplanade Zagreb. Meals B

Day 7 - Discover Plitvice National Park #WHS#
Today’s excursion reveals a breathtaking natural wonder of 16 lakes that range in hue from azure and emerald green to steely grey. Nestled upon deeply forested slopes, these terraced lakes are interconnected one to another in a dazzling cascade of rushing waters. The effect is magical and the experience unforgettable. Within the National Park, you’ll sit down to a satisfying lunch of Croatian cuisine at Licka Kuca, a rustic wooden house built in the charming traditional style of the region. Day 8 - Onward to Graz #WHS# and Vienna #WHS#
Travel to the lovely Austrian city of Graz, founded in Roman times, for a guided walk through its historic center, graced now with a pleasing blend of Renaissance and modern architecture. Continue to Vienna and check in to the 5-star Steigenberger Hotel Herrenhof. Meals B,L

Day 9 - Vienna and the land of Haydn
After breakfast, a pleasant guided walk showcases Vienna’s best known landmarks including the Sacher Hotel and St. Stephen’s Cathedral. Then journey just south of the capital to visit the Haydn Church where the composer is buried and Esterházy Palace, once the resplendent residence of a noble family. Enjoy lunch at Henrici Restaurant on the palace grounds and sample the fine wines of Burgenland at the sleek, state-of-the-art Esterházy Palace Winery and Museum. Return to your luxury hotel in downtown Vienna and enjoy a free evening. Meals B,L
