Day 2 - Explore Delhi from a variety of perspectivesYour private car, driver and guide await this morning to take you on a comprehensive full-day tour including Raj Ghat, the evocative memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, and Chandni Chowk, the colorful Old Delhi Market. Step aboard a rickshaw to explore through the colorful streets of the city, ride past the imposing façade of the Red Fort#WHS# - a powerful symbol of the Mughal Empire - and visit Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in all of India. Then join city residents aboard the efficient Metro for a quick ride to New Delhi, designed and built by the British in the 1920’s with palatial-sized buildings set on broad tree-lined streets. Drive along the famous Rajghat, see the India Gate and Parliament House, and visit Qutab Minar#WHS# and Humayun’s Tomb#WHS#.
Then marvel at the overwhelming Akshardham Temple complex, a remarkable architectural achievement of modern Hinduism featuring no less than 234 ornately-carved pillars, 9 decorated domes and 20,000 statues. This evening, we’ve made arrangements for you to dine at Veda, a popular and stylish restaurant known for its fresh and creative interpretation of traditional Indian dishes. Meals B
Day 3 - Delhi / AgraAfter breakfast, travel through the colorful countryside with your private car and driver to Agra and check in to your choice of hotel – the superior first class

Day 4 - Agra / JaipurJourney into the colorful Rajasthani countryside, filled with all the colors of India, to visit the perfectly-preserved, red sandstone “ghost town” of Fatehpur Sikri#WHS#. Built in the 16th century by Emperor Akbar, this veritable fairy tale city and its “ruins” are still in pristine condition, making it easy to imagine the opulence of long-ago court life. Day 5 - Explore JaipurAscend to the Amber Palace atop an elephant and tour this grand monument, a legacy of the never-conquered Rajput Kingdom. Marvel at its lavish courtyards, beautifully decorated halls and the lovely Chamber of Mirrors. Then visit the Palace Museum to admire its extensive display of miniature paintings, weapons and traditional Rajasthani royal costumes. Continue on to the lovely Palace of the Winds, built at the end of the 18th century so that women of royal families could conceal themselves behind its latticed façade as they watched the hustle and bustle of the street activity below.
You’ll also visit Jantar Mantar#WHS#, an observatory built in 1726. You’re sure to be astounded by these architectural stone instruments - ingeniously designed and meticulously constructed to measure time, predict eclipses and track the movements of the stars and planets. The largest instrument stands 90 feet tall and all are amazingly accurate! This delightful day also includes a rickshaw ride and time to do some shopping here in the “Pink City” – famous for its brightly embroidered fabrics, carved wooden boxes and finely-crafted jewelry.
