Day 1 - Wednesday – Puno / Copacabana – Lake Titicaca / Sun IslandThis morning you’ll be met and escorted from Puno to the Copacabana Sanctuary to board your catamaran for an unforgettable overnight cruise. Settle-in to your cozy lake-view cabin, nicely appointed with private en suite facilities. Enjoy a snack onboard as we sail across the pristine waters of Lake Titicaca to Sun Island, legendary birthplace of the Inca Empire. Visit the Inca Gardens, Inti Wata Cultural Complex and Ekako Underground Museum. Learn about traditional healing and see a fascinating display about the renowned reed-ship builders of Titicaca. Then step aboard a traditional vessel for an unforgettable sailing experience to visit the Pilkokaina Inca Palace.
Return to your catamaran and cruise to Challapampa as lunch is served onboard. This afternoon, you’ll gain amazing insight into life here in this isolated village on Lake Titicaca. Hosted by the local residents, you’ll visit their school, chapel, and homes, and then walk along ancient trails to a holy Inca temple. Day 2 - Thursday - Sun Island / Copacabana / Tiwanaku#WHS# / La PazEnjoy a leisurely breakfast onboard and the spectacular panoramas of Lake Titicaca as you cruise back to Copacabana. Upon arrival, travel overland to Tiwanaku, the ‘Cradle of American Civilization.’ Once the capital of an epic pre-Inca empire, scholars have dated these archaeological ruins to 1580 B.C. Your extensive exploration of Tiwanaku includes the Sun Temple, Earth Temple, Akapana Pyramid, and the legendary Sun Gate. Continue on to La Paz and check-in to the comfortable

Day 3 - Friday– La Paz / Sucre#WHS# / PotosíThis morning you’ll be transferred to the airport for the short flight to Sucre, where your escorted sightseeing showcases the fine Colonial architecture and history of the town. Visit the House of Freedom Historical Museum and Convent of La Recoleta, and admire the handsome facades of Santo Domingo and San Lazaro Churches. See historical monuments in the heart of town and picturesque Bolivar Park before continuing on by private car to the first class

Day 4 - Saturday – Potosí#WHS# / SucreThis morning’s excursion brings you to a working silver mine, where traditions and techniques have changed little over the centuries. Then return to Potosí for a comprehensive sightseeing tour including San Lorenzo Church and the Casa de la Moneda Museum. See the Tower of Company and the Arch of Cobija before exploring the lively artisans market in the Colonial heart of the city. Day 5 - Sunday - SucreToday’s excursion reveals the little-known Tarabuco culture, one of the most ancient indigenous peoples on the Continent. At the Tarabuco Market, you’ll see their monteras (traditional leather helmets), hand-woven ponchos, and chuspas (colorful bags for carrying coca leaves and money). Your guide can assist with translations and negotiating if you are interested in purchasing these unique textiles and handicrafts.
Then continue on to the Community of Jatun Yampara for a lunch of local fare, featuring fresh produce grown by the community. See a demonstration of ancient weaving techniques still in use today and explore the community before returning to your hotel in Sucre. Meals B,L
Day 6 - Monday – Sucre / La PazThis morning’s flight brings you back to La Paz where you’ll be met and escorted to the first class
Hotel Presidente. In the afternoon, your escorted city tour visits the famous Witch Doctor’s Market and San Francisco Church. Continuing to Plaza Murillo, you will see the Cathedral, Government Palace, and National Congress.
