Your first adventure offers a bird’s-eye view of the lush forest canopy. Securely harnessed to cables 70 feet above the forest floor, you’ll ‘zip’ 100 feet (and more!) through the air from tree-top platform to tree-top platform. Then join your naturalist guide for a 45-minute hike along jungle trails, learning about indigenous plants and roots used by the Maya. Coming to a cave entrance, you’ll be given a flashlight and inner tube. Floating along gentle river currents, follow your guide into a network of caverns filled with beautiful stalagmites and stalactites. Next, you journey into Amish territory to Barton Creek Cave. Stepping into canoes and equipped with powerful flashlights, you’ll paddle gently into the cave where your guide will point out and explain ancient artifacts left behind by the Maya. Return to your hotel in San Ignacio where your evening is at leisure. Meals B,L Day 4 - San Ignacio Free Day Explore at your own pace or join an available excursion.
