Meals B,L Day 4 - Ha Long Bay / Hanoi / Danang / Hoi An Fly to Danang and visit the Cham Museum, an open-air collection of some of the finest sandstone carvings in the world. Continue to China Beach and the Marble Mountain, arriving in picturesque Hoi Anc. Known as Faifo to early western traders, it was one of Southeast Asia’s major international ports during the 17th to 19th centuries, home to Japanese, Indian, Chinese and Portuguese merchants. Today, the city is remarkable for its collection of original Chinese temples and glorious homes built by these wealthy merchants of earlier times. Enjoy two nights at your deluxe resort hotel. In the late afternoon, drive to Danang and fly to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). En route to your deluxe hotel, you’ll be fascinated by the vibrant scenes of city life all around you - in the colorful markets, sidewalk cafes and bustling streets. Tonight, enjoy dinner at the Chateau Restaurant. Meals B,D Sofitel Plaza Saigon Day 7 - Ho Chi Minh City This morning’s sightseeing includes Reunification Hall, formerly known as the Presidential Palace. It was towards this modern building that Communist tanks rolled on the morning of April 30, 1975, as Saigon fell. This fascinating building is filled with history still fresh in the minds of many. Your tour also includes the Old Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, Jade Emperor Pagoda, Chinatown and Binh Tay Market – the city’s central market and one of the liveliest areas. Then you’ll visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, the incredible network of tunnels that once stretched for 210 miles. This underground complex was built by guerilla fighters beginning in 1940 and construction continued throughout the Vietnam War. Meals B,L Day 8 - Ho Chi Minh City Your program finishes this morning.
