Day 1 - Seoul
Arrive in Seoul and check-in to your choice of hotel, located in the heart of the city close to museums and Seoul’s famous markets. Seoul has a rich historical legacy that dates back for nearly 2,000 years, with traditions and architecture that are centuries old. But it is also a world-class, modern metropolis with a 21st century infrastructure and residents who enjoy a digitally connected, contemporary lifestyle, with fabulous shopping, dining and entertainment options available across the city 24 hours-a-day. Day 2 - Seoul
Today’s full day tour includes the resplendent Gyeongbok Palace, originally built in the 14th century, and the National Folk Museum, housed in three historic buildings on the Palace grounds. Explore the streets and alleys of Insadong, home to antique shops and galleries, and visit Cheonggyecheon Stream – an urban renewal project which restored this downtown waterway bringing new green space and vitality to the city center. Browse through bustling Namdaedmun Market, the largest in Seoul, with hundreds of vendors selling everything from clothing to food. A trip up Mt. Namsan, right in the heart of the city, affords panoramic views. Meals B

Day 3 - Seoul
Enjoy a half day tour to the DMZ – the Demilitarized Zone established in 1953 at the end of the Korean War. Your visit includes one of the “Incursion Tunnels” that were discovered in 1974. Despite North Korean claims that these were constructed for coal mining, it is commonly accepted that these were, in fact, designed for an invasion of South Korea. It’s estimated that these tunnels are large enough for an entire infantry division to pass in a single hour. Meals B

Enjoy a full day at leisure to shop and explore at your own pace. Meals B

Day 5 - Seoul
Visit Icheon Ceramic Village, once an important manufacturing site for elegant Joseon white porcelain. Today, ancient traditions endure as artisans continue Korea’s thousand-year-old ceramic culture. View the potters at work, browse through the galleries – or even try your hand at pottery, under the guidance of a skilled artist. Tour the Korean Folk Village in Yongin and learn about life during the Choson Dynasty (1392-1910). Explore more than 200 authentic homes and visit workshops of traditional crafts, including pottery, baskets, fans and musical instruments. Meals B,L
