Day 1 - Seoul

Explore the streets and alleys of Insadong, home to antique shops and galleries, and visit Cheonggyecheon Stream – an urban renewal project which restored this downtown waterway bringing new green space and vitality to the city center. Namsan, right in the heart of the city, affords panoramic views. Meals B Day 3 - Seoul Enjoy a half day tour to the DMZ – the Demilitarized Zone established in 1953 at the end of the Korean War. Your visit includes one of the “Incursion Tunnels” that were discovered in 1974. Despite North Korean claims that these were constructed for coal mining, it is commonly accepted that these were, in fact, designed for an invasion of South Korea. It’s estimated that these tunnels are large enough for an entire infantry division to pass in a single hour. Meals B Day 4 - Seoul Enjoy a full day at leisure to shop and explore at your own pace. Today, ancient traditions endure as artisans continue Korea’s thousand-year-old ceramic culture. View the potters at work, browse through the galleries – or even try your hand at pottery, under the guidance of a skilled artist. Tour the Korean Folk Village in Yongin and learn about life during the Choson Dynasty (1392-1910).
