Day 2 - Ho Chi Minh City
Begin your exploration of this fascinating city at the impressive Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Post Office – a gem of Colonial architecture. Then explore the bustling Central Market and Chinatown. In the afternoon, venture outside of the city to the Cu Chi Tunnels, the incredible underground network that once stretched for 210 miles, used by guerilla fighters beginning in 1940 and throughout the Vietnam War. You’ll marvel at secret trap doors, underground kitchens and subterranean living and meeting rooms. Tonight, you’ll dine back in the city at the elegant Maxim’s Nam An Restaurant. Meals B,D

Day 3 - Ho Chi Minh City
Saigon, as many still call it, is an unforgettable city with rich traditions, centuries of history – and a thoroughly 21st century attitude. Set on the edge of the timeless Mekong Delta, it’s a city poised for a new millennium of growth and progress. The best of the city is at your doorstep, so enjoy this day at leisure to explore at your own pace – from traditional roadside noodle stands and the trendiest of cafes to bustling markets and elegant boutiques. Day 4 - Ho Chi Minh City / Embark your Mekong Cruise
A fascinating two-and-a-half hour drive into the Mekong Delta brings you to My Tho, where you’ll board your ship. Settle-in to your spacious air-conditioned stateroom and then linger on deck with your fellow travelers as the timeless scenes of river life pass by. After lunch onboard, you’ll step off ship for an excursion by traditional Vietnamese junk, sailing among forested islands to visit the former Imperial residence at An Kiet House. Return to your ship for dinner and an enchanting evening onboard. Meals B,L,D

Day 5 - Cai Be / Vinh Long - Cruising
A morning excursion by junk reveals colorful floating markets, where many Delta residents do their daily shopping. Then step ashore in Cai Be to visit the French Gothic Cathedral and colorful port area with its colonial buildings and delightful flower gardens. Return to ship and cruise onward to Vinh Long, where you’ll visit a Bonsai garden and pottery workshop. The remainder of day is spent cruising the Mekong Delta. Meals B,L,D

Day 6 - Cruising - Visit Chau Doc / Border Crossing
After breakfast, board small boats and navigate the canals and backwaters to visit a Cham tribal village and cat fish farm. Later, enjoy a trishaw ride in Chau Doc with its fine French colonial buildings and bustling market, brimming with goods and local produce. Enjoy lunch onboard as you sail toward Cambodia. Crossing the border, the river widens into a broad channel, bustling with lively river traffic. Meals B,L,D

Day 7 - Cruising - Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Today you arrive in the capital, Phnom Penh, a city that retains a distinctive colonial French charm. Your escorted sightseeing tour includes Wat Ounalom and Wat Phnom, the hilltop pagoda which gave the city its name. You’ll also visit the Royal Palace, built in the 1800’s with gilded halls and a towering tiled roof, and the Silver Pagoda, so named for the 5,000 solid-silver tiles that grace the floor of the temple building. A somber stop is also made at the Killing Fields, where the Choeung Ek Memorial bears witness to the tragedy of lives lost during the rule of the Khmer Rouge. Meals B,L,D

Day 8 - Phnom Penh / Kompong Cham - Cruising
An early morning departure brings you to the Chong Koh silk weaving village. Your tranquil cruise continues along timeless scenes of river life, peaceful fishing villages and the lush Cambodian countryside. In the afternoon, you can step off ship to explore at your own pace in the village of Peam Chi Kang. Meals B,L,D

Day 9 - Cruising - Kompong Cham
This morning you’ll journey upriver to the hilltop temple of Wat Hanchey dating from the 8th century. Enjoy lunch as your ship returns downstream to explore Kompong Cham. You’ll visit the 12th century Angkorian temple of Wat Nokor, where a modern wat is set within the ruins of the ancient temple. Meals B,L,D

Day 10 - Cruising - Tonle River
Today’s journey is a highlight as you sail the Tonle River which connects the Mekong with Tonle Lake. Temples abound along these shores and at Kampong Chhnang, you’ll have splendid views of the rich tapestry of Cambodian rural life. You’ll moor midstream for an enthralling motorboat excursion into the lakeside wetlands, rich with bird life. Meals B,L,D

Day 11 - Disembark / Siem Reap
Disembark ship this morning and transfer to the resort hotel of your choice in Siem Reap. After time to relax, you begin your explorations through the jungle ruins of Angkor#WHS#, once the royal seat of the mighty and wealthy Khmer Empire. Today you’ll visit Angkor Wat, the largest temple complex in the world. As the day retreats from the sprawling jungle ruins, your expert guide will lead you to a prime vantage point to witness the sun set over Angkor, a magnificent and unforgettable spectacle. Day 12 - Siem Reap – Explore Angkor
This morning you will discover the monumental magnificence of Angkor Thom – the last capital of the Khmers, with its Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King, and the stunning Bayon temple. This 12th century masterpiece lies at the very centre of Angkor Thom and is an archaeological wonder of symmetry and grandeur. This afternoon, continue your exploration of Angkor’s impressive temple and city ruins, including Prasat Kravan, Banteay Kdei, Chau Say Tevoda, and Ta Prohm – a 12th century temple that has been left largely un-restored and in its natural state, surrounded by jungle with massive roots and limbs enveloping the stone like tentacles. Day 13 - Siem Reap
