Casa Santo Domingo
Hotel Class: Superior First Class
The Casa Santo Domingo opened in 1989, and from its prime location guests can easily walk to the center of the city to explore shopping, sightseeing options, and various other cultural events. All 125 rooms have minibar, cable TV, telephone, and climate control. Guests can also enjoy local cuisine and tours.

Hotel Atitlan
Hotel Class: First Class
Situated in the picturesque Panajachel Solola, the Hotel Atitlan has access to traditional Atitlan as well as the fashionable part of the Riviera. The guest rooms are equipped with standard amenities, including air-conditioning, and television. Guests can enjoy hiking and walks, bird watching, gardens, a butterfly farm, the Kunabal Kip spa, and the hotel restaurant.

Mayan Inn
Hotel Class: Superior Tourist Class
Located a block from the famous marketplace of Chichicastenango, this Colonial-style inn features fine dinning, an intimate lounge, and lush patios and gardens. The 30 guestrooms at the Mayan Inn feature amenities including working fireplaces and available room service. Other amenities at this hotel include an onsite restaurant, a bar, and available child care services.

Camino Real Tikal
Hotel Class: Superior First Class
Located in the heart of Peten Jungle, the Camino Real Tikal is comprised of 72 guestrooms housed in thatched-roof bungalows. Rooms include modern amenities including air-conditioning, cable television, telephone, and private balconies overlooking Peten Itza Lake. Leisure facilities at the Camino Real Tikal include an onsite exercise gym, sauna, and outdoor swimming pool. There are also two onsite restaurants, Ceibal and Nakan, offering international and national cuisines.

Marriott
Hotel Class: Deluxe
Centrally located in Guatemala City’s commercial banking area near Reforma Avenida and the galleries, bars, museums, and restaurants of Zona Viva, this hotel is also convenient to the botanical gardens. The 386 guestrooms on the property all feature climate control and cable television, and guests also enjoy access to the hotel health club, which offers a gymnasium, heated outdoor pool, sauna, steam room, and whirlpool, as well as racquetball, squash and tennis courts. The Hotel Pension Bonifaz is centrally located in the city, across from Quetzaltenango’s central park. All room has cable TV, phone, and climate control. Additional amenities include cocktail lounge, pool, Jacuzzi, and restaurant.
 
Day 1 - Guatemala City
Check-in to the deluxe Marriott Guatemala City, an inviting contemporary hotel close to the popular galleries, restaurants, and shops of the dynamic Zona Viva district.

Day 2 - Guatemala City / Chichicastenango
Tour the Mayan site of Baul, noted for a huge stone face depicting the “God of the World” and then visit La Democracia with numerous artifacts attributed to the Olmec and Pipil civilizations. Journey into the Guatemalan highlands to Chichicastenango and check-in to the comfortable Mayan Inn, a Colonial-styled hotel close to the town’s lively marketplace. Meals B

Day 3 - Chichicastenango / Quetzaltenango
Join your guide this morning to explore the colorful open-air market where Indians gather as they have for generations to barter their goods and produce. Visit the 400-year-old Church of Santo Tomas, and then travel to Quetzaltenango where you check-in to the Pension Bonifaz, a lovely superior tourist class hotel in the heart of town. Meals B

Day 4 - Visit Quetzaltenango / Travel to Lake Atitlan
Visit San Francisco El Alto, a charming and still un-touristed town where residents gather in front of City Hall to sell their products and handicrafts. Explore the Almolonga market and then visit the 16th century temple in San Andras Xecul, renowned for its bright yellow facade. Continue on to Lake Atitlan, a breathtakingly beautiful crater lake of azure waters surrounded by three mighty volcanic peaks. Enjoy a peaceful overnight at the Hotel Atitlan, set on lush tropical grounds. Meals B

Day 5 - Cruise Lake Atitlan / Drive to Antigua
Cruise across Lake Atitlan to the Indian village of Santiago Atitlan, where weavers create traditional textiles in brilliant colors. In the afternoon, drive to Antigua#WHS# and settle-in to your elegant guestroom at the Casa Santo Domingo, a deluxe retreat located on the garden grounds of a former Spanish Colonial monastery. Day 6 - Explore Antigua / Travel to Guatemala City
Founded in 1543, Antigua offers a rich blend of ancient and Colonial-era architecture. Your tour includes the Central Plaza, Palace of the Captains General and several significant churches and monasteries. Visit a local crafts cooperative and see simple foot-looms used to weave colorful textiles and local jade being worked into beautiful jewelry. Return to the deluxe Marriott Guatemala City and enjoy the balance of the day at leisure. Meals B

Day 7 - Guatemala City / Tikal
Early this morning, fly to Flores and drive to Tikal#WHS#, the largest Mayan site discovered to date with more than 3,000 structures. Your tour of these ruins, dating back more than 1,200 years, includes the Great Plaza; the pyramids of the Grand Jaguar and the Masks; the Palace of the Nobles; and Pyramid IV, the highest of the Mayan pyramids. After lunch, visit the museum to see pre-Colombian art treasures found during the excavation of Tikal and then continue on to the Camino Real Tikal, a delightful resort of thatch-roof bungalows in the heart of the Peten Jungle. Day 8 - Tikal / Guatemala City
Continue your guided tour of Tikal before your flight to Guatemala City where you’ll be escorted to the Marriott Hotel. Meals B,L

Day 9 - Guatemala City
