Day 1 - Beijing

Day 2 - Explore Beijing
Today’s full-day sightseeing includes Tiananmen Square, one of the world’s grandest and largest public plazas. Explore with your guide through the courtyards, pavilions and palaces of the Forbidden City#WHS# and visit the Summer Palace#WHS#, set on the shores of a tranquil lake. This evening, enjoy a traditional Peking Duck banquet. Meals B,L,D

Day 3 - Beijing / Great Wall Excursion
The Great Wall#WHS# stretches for thousands of miles across the rugged mountains of northern China. Experience the thrill of walking atop this ancient fortification and then visit Changling Tomb, the largest and grandest of the Ming Tombs#WHS#. Stroll along the statue-lined Sacred Way in this tranquil valley where, weather permitting, you can try your hand at kite-flying, a traditional Chinese pastime. Back in the city, you’ll see the remarkable 2008 Olympic venues, including the futuristic Aquatics Center – the ‘Water Cube.’ Meals B,L

Day 4 - Beijing / Xian
Tour the Temple of Heaven#WHS#, a marvel of Ming Dynasty architecture and design. Then fly to Xian, the ancient capital of China for 13 dynasties, where luxurious accommodations await at the award-winning Shangri-La Hotel. Shangri-La Hotel. Day 5 - Xian / Terra Cotta Warriors
Buried 2,000 years ago to guard the tomb of China’s first emperor, the Terra Cotta Army#WHS# is China’s greatest archaeological discovery. You’ll visit actual excavation pits and the Terra Cotta Warriors Museum to learn more. Enjoy a lively noodle-making demonstration at lunch and visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda before returning to your hotel. Meals B,L

Day 6 - Xian: Touch Antiquity / Chongqing / Embarkation
Join curators at the Xian Museum and Touch Antiquity – a rare opportunity to examine and handle ancient artifacts thousands of years old. Then you’ll fly to Chongqing where your luxury ship awaits – the brand new Victoria Jenna. Settle in to your spacious balcony stateroom before a delightful dinner in the ship’s dining room. Day 7 - Cruising / Fengdu
Today’s excursion explores the famous “Ghost City” of Fengdu, where numerous temples, some dating to the 14th century, feature fantastic carvings of spirits and creatures from Chinese mythology. Meals B,L,D

Day 8 - Cruising / Three Gorges
This morning, your cruise through Qutang Gorge, the narrowest and some say most spectacular of the famous Three Gorges. Later, you step aboard smaller boats to explore through the dramatic scenery of a Yangtze River tributary. Your ship sails through lovely Wu Gorge before entering the ship locks of the mighty Three Gorges Dam. Meals B,L,D

Day 9 - Cruising / 3 Gorges Dam / Shanghai
Visit the Three Gorges Dam to learn about this amazing engineering feat and its far reaching impact. Disembark your ship in Yichang and fly to Shanghai for a 3-night stay at the luxury Shangri-La Pudong Hotel. Meals B,L

Day 10 - Explore Shanghai
Full-day escorted sightseeing explores the city, old and new. Drive along the Bund, Shanghai’s grand waterfront boulevard, and through the historic Old French Concession. Explore the impressive collection of the Shanghai Museum and visit Xin Tiandi, a vibrant district where traditional buildings have been restored to house galleries, boutiques, and cafes. Traveling through Pudong, you’ll see the 21st century architecture that has transformed the Shanghai skyline. Meals B,L

Day 11 - Excursion to Suzhou
Today’s excursion explores the ancient town of Suzhou, famed for its peaceful waterways and tranquil gardens. Stroll through the intimate Garden of the Master of Nets, one of the most elegant, with lattice-walled pavilions, rock gardens, and ponds. You’ll also see the Marco Polo Bridge and Panmen City Gate. Day 12 - Shanghai / Guilin
Fly to Guilin and the lovely Sheraton Hotel. Tonight, thrill to the skills and artistry of Splendid Lijiang, a riveting performance of acrobatics and dance. Meals B,D

Day 13 - Li River Cruise / Guilin
Cruise on the tranquil Li River through a dramatic landscape of towering peaks that have inspired artists and poets for centuries. Then join your guide to explore the lively Yangshuo Bazaar. Meals B,L

Day 14 - Guilin / Hong Kong
Enjoy a leisurely morning before visiting Elephant Trunk Hill, the Tea Institute, and Reed Flute Cave. Fly to Hong Kong and transfer to the Kowloon Shangri-La Hotel, a luxury landmark with a privileged location overlooking the harbor. Meals B

Day 15 - Hong Kong
Your morning tour of Hong Kong Island begins atop Victoria Peak for breathtaking views of the city.
