Jianguo Hotel
Hotel Class: Superior First Class
The Jianguo Hotel in Beijing is the first international hotel in China since 1982, and the only garden hotel in Beijing. The hotel is situated at the diplomatic quarter of Beijing, but it is walking distance from the metro and the Silk Street Market. All guest rooms have air-conditioning, voicemail, telephone, cable TV, and mini-bar. Other hotel amenities include indoor heated pool, sauna, and fitness room.

Ramada Plaza Hotel

Poised in downtown Hangzhou, China, the New Ramada Plaza Hangzhou lies on the northwest shore of the harmonious West Lake, known for its magnificent natural beauty surrounded by fertile mountains. The hotel is located within walking distance to Qinghefang History Street, featuring building styles of the Qing dynasty. Lingyin Si, one of the largest and wealthiest Buddhist temples in China, stands six kilometers from the hotel. The hotel offers a business center, indoor pool, sauna, steam room and whirlpool. Day 1 - Beijing, China

Day 2 - Discover Beijing
Join your guide for an in-depth tour of this captivating capital. Stand in Tiananmen Square, the largest public plaza in the world, and explore through the splendid courtyards, pavilions, and palaces of the imposing Forbidden City#WHS#, once the exclusive enclave of Ming Dynasty Emperors. Then visit their resplendent seasonal retreat, the famed Summer Palace#WHS#. From April to November, enjoy a boat ride here on Kunming Lake. Day 3 - Beijing – Great Wall & Ming Tombs Excursion
A thrilling day unfolds as you travel into the rugged mountain landscapes north of Beijing to walk atop the Great Wall#WHS#, an ancient fortification that stretches onward for thousands of miles. Then stroll the statue-lined Sacred Way and visit the Ming Tombs#WHS#, burial site of 13 Chinese Emperors. Back in the city, see the remarkable Olympic venues – the Bird’s Nest Stadium and the Aquatics Cube where American swimmers won Gold. Meals B,L

Day 4 - Beijing / Xian – Touch Antiquity
Board a rickshaw this morning to explore through a hutong, a traditional city district of narrow alleys and old courtyard homes. Meet with a resident family here and learn about life in this rapidly evolving city. Then fly to Xian, the ancient capital, where you’ll be escorted to the modern and comfortable Grand New World Hotel. Then join your guide at the Xian Museum to Touch Antiquity with curatorial staff, a fascinating opportunity to examine and handle priceless relics from China’s thousands-year-old history. Meals B

Day 5 - Xian
The Terra Cotta Warriors#WHS# is China’s most important archaeological discovery, a vast terra cotta army buried 2,000 years ago to guard the tomb of China’s first emperor. Today, you visit the excavation site where thousands of life-sized warriors and horses have been uncovered. Your sightseeing also includes the picturesque Big Wild Goose Pagoda. At lunch, enjoy a lively demonstration in the art of noodle-making and then savor plump and juicy dumplings – a regional specialty – at tonight’s festive dinner. Meals B,L,D

Day 6 - Xian / Hangzhou
Fly to Hangzhou, a city long-revered for its tranquil setting along the shores of West Lake, surrounded by forested hills. Upon arrival, you’ll be met and escorted to the first class Ramada Hotel in the heart of the city. Enjoy a cruise on scenic West Lake and learn about traditional healing and medicinal herbs used since ancient times. Then experience the rhythms of the city as you join local residents to stroll along bustling Hefang Street. Meals B,L

Day 7 - Hangzhou / Wuzhen / Suzhou
Journey to Wuzhen, an ancient ‘water town’ of canals, bridges, and well-preserved homes of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Continue on to the famed ‘garden city’ of Suzhou and check to the first class Bamboo Grove Hotel. Meals B,L

Day 8 - Suzhou / Shanghai
Set along the ancient Grand Canal, Suzhou#WHS# is famed for its tranquility, scenic beauty, and World Heritage gardens. This morning you visit the Garden of the Master of Nets, a landscaped jewel of pavilions, waterways, and meticulous plantings. Cruise along the Grand Canal and then continue on to cosmopolitan Shanghai, where you check-in to the perfectly located Sofitel Hyland Hotel. Meals B,L

Day 9 - Shanghai
Today’s in-depth sightseeing begins with a drive along the Bund, Shanghai’s elegant waterfront boulevard. Marvel at the towering skyscrapers in the Pudong District that have literally transformed the city’s skyline and stroll through the lovely Yu Yuan Garden, created five centuries ago by a Court official as a sanctuary for his aging parents. Tonight’s farewell dinner features a tempting array of dim sum. Meals B,D
