Day 2 - Lima Sightseeing
After a free morning, your car and driver will bring you to the Gold Museum, with its vast and renowned – if not somewhat controversial – collection of pre-Columbian gold artifacts. Then explore Lima’s#WHS# fine Spanish colonial architecture, including a walking tour through the Main Plaza. See the Cathedral and visit the 16th century catacombs of the Convent of San Francisco. Tonight, dine at Fusion a new venue under the direction of Rafael Piqueras, a young chef at the forefront of new Peruvian cuisine. Meals B,D

Day 3 - Lima Sightseeing
Today’s privately-guided touring begins at the impressive pre-Incan ruins of Pachacamac. Then return to the city and explore Barranco, Lima’s lively Bohemian district, before a gourmet Peruvian lunch at one of our favorite restaurants in the area. In the afternoon, you’ll delve deep into the collection of the Lima Art Museum as you tour the exhibits and reserved-access areas with a museum curator. Meals B,L

Day 4 - Lima / Cuzco
Fly to Cuzco#WHS#, nestled high in the Andes, and transfer to your choice of deluxe hotel in the heart of this charming city. A local historian will join you for lunch, offering fascinating conversation and a great introduction to the amazing civilization of the Inca. Your private sightseeing includes the Temple of the Sun and the Colonial-era Cathedral. Meals B,L

Day 5 - Sacred Valley Excursion
Journey into the Sacred Valley with your car, driver and guide to explore the rich culture and Inca legacy here in the Andean highlands. Visit the hilltop Incan site of Sacsayhuaman, the ancient town of Chincheros and a local chicheria where chicha, a traditional Andean beverage, is brewed. You’ll lunch at the beautiful family-run Hacienda Huayoccari overlooking the Sacred Valley and then visit Awanacancha to learn about llama, alpaca and vicunia and how their sought-after fibers are woven with ancient techniques. Day 6 - Cuzco / Machu Picchu
Board the luxurious Hiram Bingham Train and travel through the Urubamba River Valley, with a delightful brunch served onboard as you enjoy vistas of Indian villages, terraced fields and snow-capped peaks. Day 7 - Machu Picchu / Cuzco
