Located at the foothills of the MacDonnell Ranges, the Novotel Outback Hotel is close to many of the attractions in the city. Guests can easily get to the Wes MacDonnell, Anzac Hill, Desert Park, the Botanical gardens, or the racecourse. All 138 guest rooms have satellite TV, minibar, radio, and internet. Crowne Plaza Alice Springs

Day 2 - Sydney

Today’s tour begins at The Rocks, the oldest part of town, and continues with the Opera House, Darling Harbour, Kings Cross and world-famous Bondi Beach. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure before boarding the MV Sydney 2000 for a dinner cruise through one of the world’s most beautiful harbors. Meals B,D

Day 3 - Blue Mountains Excursion
A full day excursion by deluxe 4WD begins at a nearby wildlife park to see kangaroos, koalas and dingoes. Travel deep into the Blue Mountains for morning tea in the bush and then explore scenic wilderness areas of the backcountry; see Australia’s Grand Canyon and the renowned Three Sisters rock formations and hear the ‘Dreamtime’ legend of their origin. Day 4 - Sydney / Ayers Rock #WHS#
Fly to Ayers Rock and check-in to your choice of hotel at Ayers Rock Resort. Explore the massive rock formations of Kata Tjuta (the Olgas), and walk the trails of Olga Gorge. Later at Ayers Rock (Uluru), sip a glass of wine as you witness the striking color changes of Uluru as the sun sinks below the desert horizon. Meals B

Day 5 - Ayers Rock / Alice Springs
Travel to the eastern end of Uluru to catch the first sunlight hitting the desert landscape and Ayers Rock. View Aboriginal rock art at the Mutitjulu Waterhole before traveling through the desert landscapes of the Outback to Alice Springs. Day 6 - Alice Springs
Today’s excursion reveals the history and rugged beauty of the Australian Outback. Explore the trails of Standley Chasm and then stop at Ormiston Gorge to see striking, cubist rock formations. Enjoy a picnic lunch before visiting Alice Springs Desert Park to see unique Australian wildlife including an exciting “Birds of Prey” Show. Meals B,L

Day 7 - Alice Springs / Cairns
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairns, gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, meet and greet upon arrival and check-in to your choice of hotel. Meals B
