Day 1 - Welcome to Lima!Check in to your choice of city-center hotel.
Day 2 - Into the AndesTransfer to the airport for your flight to Cuzco#WHS#, ancient capital of the Inca Empire. Upon arrival, you’ll be met and escorted to your choice of hotel. After time to rest and adjust to the altitude, join your private guide to explore Cuzco and its surroundings. Begin by traveling by private car into the mountains outside of town to the Inca site of Sacsayhuaman, known for its impressive masonry and great views over the city. Return to Cuzco and at the Almudena Cemetery and bustling San Pedro Market, you’ll gain fascinating insight into ancient Andean traditions which endure still in the daily lives of Cuzco’s residents. From there, you’ll enjoy a particularly rewarding experience visiting a local child care center that provides food, clothing and shelter for young children. We encourage you to bring supplies and donations-your chance to make a difference in Peru. Your explorations end with a visit to old Cuzco, including the Temple of the Sun and the city’s imposing Cathedral. Meals B
Day 3 - Through the Sacred Valley by rail to Machu PicchuYour full-day visit to Machu Picchu #WHS# begins from Cuzco aboard the Vistadome train, through the captivating landscapes of the picturesque Sacred Valley. Explore Machu Picchu while your expert private guide illuminates the history and culture of the once-great Inca Empire. Return to Cuzco in the evening by train. Or why not spend the night at Machu Picchu? The prices at right include hotel, dinner, breakfast, roundtrip transportation between your hotel and Machu Picchu and second entry ticket to explore the Lost City again at your own pace. Day 4 - Back to the capitalFly back to Lima #WHS#, where you’ll be met and escorted by private car to your choice of hotel.
