Day 1 - Welcome to Lima!Check-in to your choice of city-center hotel.
Day 2 - Onward into the AndesFly to Cuzco#WHS#, ancient capital of the Incan empire, and transfer to your choice of hotel – located close to the historic town center. After time to rest and adjust to the altitude, join your private guide to explore the city, including the Temple of the Sun. Continue by private car into the mountains outside of town to the amazing Inca site of Sacsayhuaman, known for its impressive masonry and great views over the city. Day 3 - Through the Sacred Valley by rail to Machu PicchuA full-day visit to Machu Picchu#WHS# begins aboard the
Vistadome train through the Sacred Valley. As you journey along the Urubamba River, the scenery is spectacular. Explore Machu Picchu with your expert private guide as he illuminates the history and culture of the once-great Inca Empire. The paths and terrain of this ancient site can be slippery; unhurried exploration allows you to use appropriate caution. Return to Cuzco in the evening by train. Or, you can choose to spend the night at Machu Picchu, affording the opportunity to visit the site early the following morning as the sun rises over the mountain peaks (from $114). Meals B,L
Day 4 - Back to the capitalFly back to Lima#WHS# where you’ll be met and escorted by private car to your choice of hotel.
