Shangri-La Pudong

Prominently sited along the famous Huangpu River, the Hotel has breathtaking views of Shanghai's legendary riverfront - the Bund and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. Shangri-La Hotel, Xian

Day 1 - Beijing
Check-in to your luxury hotel, the Shangri-La Beijing, surrounded by landscaped gardens in the heart of the capital.

Day 2 - Explore Beijing by Private Car
With your own private car, driver and guide, you’ll explore the best of Beijing. Stand in Tiananmen Square, one of the grandest public plazas in the world, and visit the Temple of Heaven#WHS#, a marvel of Ming Dynasty architecture and engineering. Stroll amidst the pavilions, lakes and landscaped grounds of the lovely Summer Palace#WHS#, seasonal retreat of Chinese royalty. Then tour the vast Forbidden City#WHS#, once the exclusive enclave of the Sons of Heaven who ruled the land with supreme authority. Day 3 - Beijing / Great Wall Excursion by Private Car
The Great Wall#WHS# stretches for thousands of miles across the mountains of northern China. Travel by private car with your guide into this rugged landscape to walk atop this ancient fortification. Then stroll along the Sacred Way to visit the Ming Tombs#WHS#. Back in the city, you’ll see the remarkable 2008 Olympic venues, including the Water Cube and Bird’s Nest Stadium. Meals B,L

Day 4 - Beijing / Xian
Enjoy a private Tai Chi lesson this morning before your flight to Xian, the ancient capital of China for 13 dynasties. Upon arrival, your personal car and guide will escort you to the luxurious Shangri-La Hotel. Meals B,L

Day 5 - Xian / Terra Cotta Warriors
Buried 2,000 years ago to guard the tomb of China’s first emperor, the Terra Cotta Army#WHS# is China’s greatest archaeological discovery. Join your personal guide for an in-depth and fascinating exploration of this vast excavation site. Day 6 - Xian: Touch Antiquity / Shanghai
Join your personal guide and curators at the Xian Museum to Touch Antiquity – a rare opportunity to examine and handle ancient artifacts thousands of years old.
